2015 AKA The Year I Failed As A Blogger

2015 began in Melbourne (via Instagram)

This year has been quite the ride! Twenty-fifteen began in Melbourne with a lot of uncertainty. I had moved from the only country I'd ever called home and was feeling like a fish out of water. I was unsure where I was going to live, what I was going to do and, with my savings quickly dwindling, how I was going to achieve my travel ambitions.

Recipe: Gooey Hazelnut Chocolate Brownies

Like most living, breathing people, I'm a sucker for a gooey chocolate brownie. In fact, I choose to believe that people who don't like chocolate don't exist. I don't want to live in a world where people make the conscious decision to deny themselves the taste of chocolate goodness ;) .

Currently Listening to... Chvrches

I'm the kind of person who gets really obsessed with things. When it comes to music, I don't usually listen to more than one artist at a time– I guess most people would call that an obsessive personality and I tend to agree with that. My current music obsession (and forgive me if I'm a year or so behind on this discovery) is Chvrches.

If only I could look this cool in overalls. That's not for a lack of trying though!

I have some sad news. You may have noticed that there is no desktop calendar this month. Unfortunately I can't make them anymore. Long story short, my computer is stupid and now I don't have InDesign.

BOOOOOOOO!!! :( :( :( :(

In Need of a Montage Moment

I've been watching a lot of retro movies lately. I'm going though a bit of a 80s/90s phase. Did you know they actually made GOOD movies back then!? ;) Anyway, something I've learnt from watching these films (and some crazy cliched current films too) is that if you want to achieve something big you need a good montage! Corny music and all just like Baby in Dirty Dancing.

The Creative Process

This is me all over! Being creative is hard.

Currently listening to... Ellie Goulding: Love Me Like You Do

Can we all just take a moment to recognise how amazing Ellie Goulding is? I'm a bit on the fence about the upcoming Fifty Shades Of Grey movie (is it gonna be awkward and porny? Who knows!), but Ellie's latest single off the film's soundtrack is the best thing my ears have heard in a while. Her waltz in the music video is so flippin' adorable I'm so close to booking ballroom dancing lessons!

Beaut-TEA-ful

I am a tea person. Since an unusually young age I have had a strong affinity for a good cuppa. More specifically; English Breakfast, milk, no sugar. I guess as a kid it made me feel old and wise. Today nothing comforts me more. There is rarely a problem I have that can't be at least eased by a hot brew and some fuzzy socks. Like they say...

Those tranquil feels

Sourced from: chphotographics on Flickr

I feel like I should take up yoga, or meditation, or pilates– is there even a difference?– because I am loving this relaxed feeling I've been experiencing lately. I never want it to end. Would you believe that this is all thanks to a Spotify playlist?

True dat!

I'm not too familiar with Ryan Adams but I am assuming he is a genius because truer words have never been spoken.

Ch ch ch ch changes

I've never been a fan of change. I know a lot of people say this but I really mean it. Change and I do NOT get along. Never have. Probably never will.
